This is the 4th key principle to a 5 stage strategy I am developing which I have meditated on for years. I am presenting this outline in all my upcoming east coast talks. It is entitled "The Life Food Peak Performance System". Eating for your Function: Designing your own Life Food Strategy The core premise behind all nutrition is that we are all individually unique and must appropriate our health strategy in service of this. When we approach a new format of eating we must do so that suits our lifestyle needs and our own metabolism. The pitfalls that many endure on a raw food approach, from my estimation, appear to be the long term effects of catabolism. This is the process in which the body must break down bio-materials for elimination. When the body is poorly nourished or is in a prolonged fasting state it can break down muscle tissue as fuel for survival. In the pursuit of refinement, detoxification, and weight loss this is actually what we want. In the pursuit of reconstructing our bodies for optimal performance it is critical to develop an anabolic drive that supports physiological building blocks and the extension of longevity. The majority of people who come into the raw food lifestyle tend to be enduring a chronic ailment of some kind. Therefore the bulk of information on the raw food approach is designed specifically to address various conditions that require one to break down old-waste-materials in an accelerated manner in order to reach a renewed state of balance. What is rarely addressed is how one rebuilds themselves once they have achieved their balance point, which is essential for long term success. We must design our personal health insurance policy through health assurance that is predicated on a holistic lifestyle that is universal. This means that any approach that is dogmatic at it’s core is designed to fail. It must be applicable to everyone who chooses a better way of living. The Life Food Peak Performance System is designed to be accessible to everyone regardless of their lifestyle. This information is paramount in importance as it reveals the basic foundation of all health practices and can be systematically applied whether you are a a growing child, high performance athlete, a weekend warrior, an entrepreneur, or simply a busy parent. The core concept is that food is our fuel and whatever arena we choose to pour our life into we should have the tools to approach it with a peak performance attitude.
