This is the 506th song I wrote. It wasnt meant to be a song, but I decided to make one out of it. The entire song is a true story of what went down at a non-profit organization my son and I were a part of. I did volunteer work while my son performed at several shows. He eventually hooked up with 3 other young musicians and formed a group called AudioFaction. This song started off only as an instrumental. I overdubbed, using the Audacity music editor, various sounds that my mouth could make. I think I used about 15 tracks or so just making various vocal noises. My son, for fun, added one last extra part to it and I considered it done. However, since my son and I went through all this unnecessary drama with the president of this association, along with negative compliance by the board of directors, I found my way to vent. Ive never written or even performed a rap tune before, and Im sure many will argue that this is not a real rap tune, and they wouldnt exactly be wrong. I can write and perform just about any style of music, but this style has never inspired me--until now. This will most likely be my only attempt at something like this, and it felt good getting it out of my system. For those that know me well, once I write a song about whats bothering me, I find it much easier to move on. The music part was inspired by Bobby Mcferrin and how he uses his body and voice to make sounds. That has always been fascinating to me. As far as the rap part goes, its more a lift from Chuck Berrys Maybelline. Maybe Chuck was a rap artist way ahead of his time. I still consider his stuff some of the best rock and roll music ever made. PSMFYA RAP YOU ACTED SO KIND ON THE VERY FIRST DAY BUT THEN YOU WENT AND RAGED IN SUCH A HORRIBLE WAY. YOU YELLED AND SCREAMED AT ALL OF OUR KIDS, AND THEN AT THE FAIR, IN THE BUS YOU HID RUNNING AWAY RESPONSIBILITIES, DUE TO YOUR LACK OF CREDIBILITY. AMPLIFIED GENERATION GOT SCREWED BY YOU AND SO JULY AND AUDIOFACTION TOO. YOU STOLE THEIR SHOWS, GAVE IT TO THE ONGOING, BUT WHAT YOU DIDN’T KNOW FOR ALL YOUR KNOWING, GRIEVANCES WE FILED PUT YOU IN YOUR PLACE, BUT THEN, ONCE AGAIN, YOU SHOWED YOUR DISGRACE. YOU SWEPT THIS ISSUE RIGHT UNDER THE RUG, AND GAVE THE OTHER KIDS HIGH FIVES AND HUGS, SLANDERING ALL THE KIDS THAT YOU HAVE WRONGED, BUT HERE I AM, TRUTHING IN THIS SONG, TELL THE WORLD EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE, AN EGOMANIAC WHO THINKS HE’S A STAR. THE BOARD PRETENDED THAT THIS WASN’T REAL, AND KICKED US OUT, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL? AND NOW I’M HERE TO HELP EXPOSE SO THAT THE OTHER KIDS, WHEN THEY DO SHOWS, KNOWS EXACTLY THAT WHAT YOU SAY IS FULL OF LIES EVERY SINGLE DAY. YEA, I SAID YEA! BUT I’M HERE TO SHOW EVERYBODY THE TRUTH, AND WARN THE PARENTS AND ALL THE YOUTH, AND I WILL SPREAD ACROSS THIS NATION, THAT IN THIS NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT YOU’LL NEVER BE A GREAT SENSATION IN PUGET SOUND MUSIC FOR YOUTH ASSOCIATION.
