This is the Victory… John 15:1-2 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that bears not fruit he takes away (or ascends, to lift up): and every branch that bears fruit, he purges’ it, that it may bring forth more fruit. I love this season, autumn, the vineyards are filled with the aroma of the coming harvest. The cluster of grapes hanging on the vine are causing the branches of the vine to bow in reverence to her Creator, the color of purple speaks of His passion He displayed for us. The juice of the grape speaking of the blood it took for our redemption. I love to drive out to the local vineyards, park and deeply inhale the aroma of harvest time. Just as we salt and light, we are also an aroma of life to this world In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine. I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day. Isaiah 27:2-3. These scriptures do speak to us of His constant care for us, even when we do not seem to be producing, He will lift us into an environment where we can produce. Just one more example of how this season preaches “Christ in you,” is when the apples are so full on the branch, that the branch bows under its weight. When we see His fruit grown in us it should produce humble worship instead of self-boasting of our own efforts. Let nature preach to you of Him who made it!
