This is the burial place in the Panthéon (Paris). By burying its great men in the Panthéon, including Voltaire, Marie Curie, Victor Hugo etc..., the Nation acknowledges the honour it received from them. Aside from this meaningful purpose, the architecture of the place was highlighted by the repeating curvature in the pathway as well was the lights on both side.
