This is the coolest commission tbC has possibly ever received! John Reid is a great supporter of tbC. Apart from purchasing work regularly and being an inaugural subscriber to tbCs Artist Subscription Program, John dropped by last week to propose a cooky and highly engaging art commission. This is how it will work: Next Wednesday we are going to meet for another STUDIO SESSION:) This time the provocation will be to draw a RAT!! All artists attending the STUDIO SESSION will be invited to draw a RAT. This drawing needs to be designery as it is for a LOGO (for a major Australian festival). John initially proposed that 6 artists draw a RAT for $50 and that the one he selects to use would receive another $100. We have decided to extend this gorgeous and engaging idea even further. John has indeed chosen the 6 artists to receive $50 BUT we have decided to let others BE IN IT TO WIN IT by drawing a rat too. If one of the RATS from the non commissioned artists gets chosen THAT ARTIST will receive the $100! Cool hey! Any other local young artists (or mentor artists) wanting to get in on this - get in touch :)
