This is the final look on that chest restoration. The chest had gardening equipment sitting on it for a while and the oiled leaked out onto the entire chest. It was a difficult task trying to soak up or remove all that old soaked oil without removing a lot of the original patina and antiquing marks, even more so on the dovetail joints which were full of that engine oil. We managed to get it all back to looking and working great. Our client is very pleased with it, and plan on enjoying many years to come with it.
