This is the first of two state meet posts. Sorry for the length of them, but there is much to write about. Bruin Nation gets the first post--- you all are rockstars, MVPs and more. From the letters from the members of the 1987 Boys State Champs to this years boys to the dozens of texts and posts and emails both prior to and after the race, the support has been awesome for this group of athletes. ONCE A BRUIN ALWAYS A BRUIN! While this support alone would be the best of any program, the masses that showed up for the meet were just amazing! Jim Shea and Ed Lull represented the 70s Bruins. Angela-David Smith , Terri Wise and a host of others represented the 80 and 90s. Morgan Birge joined us too! The college crowd was present with Alec Villiva, Casey Lardner, Macy Trump amd Katie Roche just to name a few. Of course, the Bruin actives were there in droves! Check out the pictures. But the award for best support goes to Emily Williams and Miles Isenhour. Last spring we were saddened to find out both would be moving north and leaving us. They convinced their moms (thanks!) to get them to the meet and surprised their teammates. They also put a huge smile on this old coachs face. What makes this Bruin family so special is the support you all provide! You are the best!
