This is the first year I can remember that I wont be at the Race - TopicsExpress

This is the first year I can remember that I wont be at the Race for the Cure. As I pried my 218 pound head off the pillow and sneezed 19 times I thought of all that ladies with breast cancer go through and how minor my discomfort is compared to that. The physical pain from chemotherapy, the mental toughness that it takes to push through despite the pain and the emotional strength they must harness to comfort their loved ones reminds me of how strong we are as women. I love to celebrate that strength and toughness through my running and pushing where I never thought I could, but when I see these eyes in the mirror, I have no other choice but to follow my own advice and listen to my body. I will certainly miss all of our Personally Fit ladies today as they tackle their first ever running goal - running a 5K. They started out 8 weeks ago running 1/4 mile and have worked to overcome obstacles and build up their endurance to todays race - a race that means something special to each of them. Harness your power ladies and show off the strength and mental toughness that we possess as women. I love each of you and will be with you in spirit every step of the way.
