This is the kind of appalling thing that happens to nations that sign treaties that allow foreign companies in without protecting themselves from the inroads of profit-hungry multi-nationals, often mining companies, which care absolutely nothing for the future of the nation and its children. Those who sign these short-sighted treaties for immediate returns in money for their government place the future of the nations children inn jeopardy. Not only should this company withdraw its lawsuit, nations contemplating the Trans Pacific Partnerships Treaty with the USA and other nations should read the sub-clause and see that its citizens are not put in this terrible position where the children of their future can be harmed by the callous indifference of the mining company that cares only about its profit.
