This is the last day of our visit to Charleston. While here, I have gone to two barbershop shows that were full of beautiful music and very entertaining. It is good to share in Toms interests as he has shared in mine and sacrificed a great deal for me lately. We were entertained aboard the aircraft carrier Yorktown last night. I am always in awe of military aircraft and ships when I get up close to them. While in Charleston, I toured through downtown and ended up with a tour group at Boone Plantation. I have always loved visiting historical sights. A Civil War battle re-enactment also took place and it brings to reality how horrible that war was. As Veterans Day nears, we have a lot to be grateful for. I had a break from chemo this week and have had a pretty good week. Im feeling well more hours of the day these days and thank God for that. I went to the GE plant for two hours on a Thursday to attend a staff meeting where management wanted to recognize the long term contributions my team has made to the business. It is always well for us to go to work and do our utmost to perform as well as possible and never compromising doing whats right. Even if our businesses dont recognize us for this, God does when we meet Him in heaven someday. Toms first week of being retired and home with me went by so fast. I am grateful for his sacrifice to help take care of me as I progress towards wellness. I am very much getting into the spirit for Thanksgiving and Christmas. When Kimberly Silverman, Daniel Silverman, and Adam come Friday, I plan to decorate the Christmas tree. I want pictures of my grandson hanging Christmas bulbs. I have also found the Hallmark Christmas movies already on and have started watching them. It feels to me that this years Christmas celebration is extra special. I miss being at Ogden Baptist Church this morning but will be sure to be there Wednesday. Todays Bible verse is found in 1 Timothy 2:5-6 For there is One God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
