This is the last thing Im going to say about that whole Im not African, Im american thing and Ill stop. Please people stop saying white people dont consider to be European american or Ive never been to Africa so why am I being called African... One you dont have to go somewhere to be something... I went to Dunkin donuts does that make me a donut? Nooooo! Youre ancestors are from there! You dont have to go somewhere to be apart of that but when your ethnic make up is from there... Youre apart of that. Now with that being said.... How many Italians actually been to Italy? Im waiting.... Not many! But they say theyre Italian... How many French people have been to france? Im waiting.... How many Russians been to Russia (and to throw some trivia in there... Russia is inside of Asia too so that region is called Eurasia)? Not many but they still say theyre what they are... And to be honest the only reason why they can do that is because they dont have the same history as us! We were imperialized and deprived from our countries which is the reason why we dont have the privilege of naming which countries from Africa we came from and even if we could... As AFRICAN AMERICANS we are combined with so many types of African why name all of them? Smfh! The only place we know we come from for sure is Africa...
