This is the link to the Interim Report from the Inquiry of the closure, sale and dismantling of the Triabunna Mill. No bowel shattering findings, but it is worth pointing out that the report mentions Graeme Woods promised plan to redevelop the mill site into a tourist venture, creating jobs etc.......and promised, that a Development Application (DA) would be submitted to council before the end of January 2015. Creation of jobs and stimulating the economy sounds great?......But wait, theres more! The report goes on to say, However the Committee has received a letter from the lawyer for equal co-owner, Jan Cameron dated 12 August 2014, which stated:“[f]urthermore, Mr Wood has no authority to speak on behalf of our client, Triabunna Management Pty Ltd, Triabunna Investments Pty Ltd or their board of directors.” Its not hard to read between the lines? So, why does the report recommend supporting a whim and a promise, by those who have repeatedly shown themselves to say one thing, and do another.
