This is the moment when our section of the march approached the Loyalist mob and until we were past. We were pretty near the front of the march and had been asked by the organisers not to let ourselves be provoked by the Loyalists. It seems it took us a long time to pass them on the video but seemed much shorter to me at the time. You can see where, when things started flying, we moved our banner over to flank some of the marching band in front of us to shelter them (Wolfe Tone Republican Flute Band from Craigneuk in North Lanarkshire). The bands did not play as they passed the Loyalists but you can hear one of them calling out to steady them: Clé … clé … clé … deas … clé. Somebody near us is shouting the I … the I … the IRA! in response to the howls of the Loyalists but it wasnt us. Grma Trevor Conlon, who managed to take the video footage while still holding on to of our banner :-)
