This is the month we salute poetry...its National Poetry Month. Lets get this party started! Today is a good day to write the perfect poem with you. Todays poem will be Stichic Verse. Stichic verse is a continuous run of lines of the same length and the same metre. Most narrative verse is written in such continuous lines. Lyric poetry, because it is closer to song, usually uses stanzas. Two lines are basically the same length and the last words of the two lines rhyme. Got it? Ill start..then someone rhyme with my line...the third comment starts a new line with a different ending word for the next person to rhyme....and so on... Heres my line... The sun waits beyond clouds of gray.
