This is the most honest thing I have ever heard anyone say about this country. I love my country so much, partially because in the last more than 2000 years it was the first place that someone like me could live without fear of execution, of torture, hanging, beating, stabbing, drowning, forced conversion, total asset seizure, and so many more terrible things that it makes your soul weep to think that human beings were capable of these torments on other human beings. I will always love America and I would die to defend it, but we are by no means the best country in the world and love for the country of my birth does not mean that I should be blindly loyal and silently culpable.
