This is the most intense Birdland I was fortunate to attend! I was second row, right in front of Patti! I could not only hear and see, I could FEEL her! The fact, that she stopped her performance, grumbling about a woman, who was filming right in front of her and disturbing her, concentrating on the performance, made it even more intense and memorable. I saw Patti in the Paradiso two nights in a row that year. Totally different mood the two nights and I couldnt choose the one I liked better... cause it was Patti: pure, honest, up front, charismatic, beautiful!
