This is the most painful and difficult posts I can ever image making. I know there are Uncle Brothers fans here so I feel compelled to update you. My dear friend and Uncle Brothers partner Danny Quinn recently suffered a brain hemorrhage and although we all were optimistic for a while, he has taken a terrible turn and is now waiting for a room in hospice. As per his wishes he did not want to be kept on life support if there was no chance of regaining brain function. This is shocking and numbing to all of us who knows him and we are left with a confused sense of why this has to happen to such an amazing, giving, and loving person. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go to his family and all his friends and fans. Today he was supposed to play at Daveys Locker in Montvale. This is where I met Danny in the mid 80s. He played there on Sunday nights for well over a decade. They are running a raffle on his behalf for family expenses and I feel compelled to be there. I can safely say he is the reason I found my new career and Ive always aspired to be a fraction of the giving performer and person he is. So sorry to be the bearer of such horrible news. Perhaps Ill see some of you at Daveys later. I believe there are some toasts that need to be made to one of truly special people that has ever graced our presence.
