This is the note I just left for my two Sleeping Beauties. Shall we open a book on the outcome? My darling boys, Mum got up very, very early this morning and went to Asda to do the Christmas food shopping. So early, I was home by 6:45am, and I still have to go to work today and I won’t be home until six this evening at the earliest. So I am likely to be tired and possibly a little bit grumpy, whilst you are both at home all day and likely to get up quite late. If you can follow these two simple requests life is more likely to be sweet and you may make the next 24 hours alive and we can have a lovely Christmas together. 1. The fridge and freezer are full of lovely treats FOR CHRISTMAS. If it isn’t usually there, or you look at it and think “Mmm, that looks nice” it’s probably not for you to eat today. Do not cook or eat any of these without checking with me first. I mean it. 2. The house has been cleaned, apart from your rooms. Please do them today. And by today, I mean before I get home, not before midnight. And by clean, I mean sort your laundry out, put clothes and shoes away, empty the bins and throw away rubbish that didn’t make it to the bin, strip your beds and re-make them, take all the manky dirty pots downstairs and wash them, wipe down surfaces and hoover the floor. I do not mean just kick everything to one end of the room and get back on facebook/twitter/whatever else it is you do on there. Love you both. If you’d like this to continue, take this seriously xxxxx
