This is the outcome of years of genocide - murdered women - suicides - highest incarceration numbers, police violence to First Peoples. Inside the Nations the living standards are far below poverty status, no clean water, waste management, sub-standard molding houses, education, food stability, corrupted councils. The next step by the government is to say - see they cant even manage their own lives and turn the deprivation and genocide backward as a means to instal and even heavier hand inside the Nations - Not land claims or someones territories. Countries - Nations - occupied. The reason this will happen and the change of the Canadian Charter for protection of First Peoples - is to clear the way for corporate ownership with huge pay-outs to government puppets. People need to wake up and look inside these lands and see the inhumane way humans are being treaty.
