This is the post I put up on the negative video below: This is an absolute fallacy. I have no idea where you got this information, but it is false. Bats are absolutely, positively no more susceptible to disease than any other animal, and that is a fact. Bats have the Ebola antibody, meaning they can kill off the virus, this does not mean they actually HAVE the virus, or transmit the virus. Theyre not more susceptible to rabies, either, with only one tenth of 1% of the entire global population of bats ever getting rabies. If this is true, as you claim, where is your proof? Where are your sources? You cannot just go spouting out facts like this, ones that could be detrimental to something or someone, in this case one of the most beneficial animals on the planet, far more beneficial than humans by far. The loss of bats would mean loss of 95% of rainforest regrowth, where we get 40% of the oxygen we breath, extinction of over 500 species of plants, including certain types of banana, mangoes, kapok for life preservers, sisal for rope, the giant saguaro cactus, medicinal plants, and the baobab tree, which supports entire ecosystems, and finally it would cause us to be inundated by billions of insects, causing spikes in the far more prevalent malaria and west nile virus, and causing an annual loss of as much as 22.7 BILLION DOLLARS to the agricultural industry via crop damaging pests. Is our foolishness as a race really worth that loss? I do not think so.
