This is the queue of people attempting to vote in the Romanian presidential election, in Dublin. There is one single poling station in the whole country. No, there is no such thing as early ballots. Things look even worse in Paris and London. The government is deliberately trying to prevent the diaspora from voting because of whom we are likely to support. A nominal right to vote is worthless if I am physically prevented from exercising it. The basic tenet of democracy: one person, one vote, is being obliterated when tens of thousands are being wilfully prevented from participating. This is unconstitutional.
