This is the rainy Saturday afternoon report from Mayberry by the sea......I feel like I am getting caught into the tractor bean from Publix once again............I have many outlets to see and visit friends.....I like to hang with all types of people especially everyday working people........when I wan to get that fix I go to Publix and always see friends who shop there and chit chat with the ones that work there...I find these people very interesting because they are honest and I like connecting with them...like Dennis who works there and is writing a book and I gave her a great pin name that has become her name every day....Ebony Midnight......then there is Guy who also writes and finished a book this summer....its a spy thriller I think.....there was Jaime who worked in the meat dept who used to make and burn his own CDs and would give me one.....I have not seen in awhile and hope he got discovered...he had talent..........the other guy that works in the meat dept is a gentle giant of a man with a great disposition.....he is the largest boned man I have ever seen......big like the guy who played in Green Mile.......I told him my big night was frying some shrimp for myself.....I went to Publix for one reason...to get coffee......and got some fresh shrimp.....a box of Chex cereal......a box of Lucky Charms......chocolate milk.....I see my friend Bo and his wife and say for the love of God please break the spell......this place is like Lowes....you go in for a box of screws and leave with a blower....some new hedge clippers......some plants......2x 4s..........brackets and shelves and a new trash can...and a bucket of paint that you swear you will be using for a project at some time in the future......we hug it out and then one more stop to the bakery to tell the ladies they bake the best bread in town......White mountain bread......I swing on over to the checkout line and say hello to Karen and Lacy.... and Cynthia who work the registers.....but find myself in the line of a guy who impressed me once.......while waiting to be rung up I glance at the and was surprised I did not see on thing about Kim Kardashian or Kate Middleton tabloids.........the guy told me the price and I asked him if he still could guess where someone comes from by hearing their brogues.....he said yes but I have been off lately.....but he is good and I have seen him nail it both times I saw him try....yes I went in for a people fix and some coffee and left with the items mentioned above along with some light bulbs...a snickers bar......and some cleaning products.....I hopped into the truck and cranked up the music and headed over the long marsh road back to Mayberry by the sea.....and settled down to the meal of kings... a mixture of chex cereal.....Lucky Charms with just the right amount of Frosted flakes for one of the best meals I have had all day!!!
