This is the story about Vanessa. As a young kid she never felt accepted, neither at school or at home. In kindergarten she was different from most of the other little girls. When the girls were sitting inside drawing or playing house, she preferred being outside playing with the boys. She never felt discriminated, when she was hanging out with the boys. As the years passed by, things changed. In fifth grade she was bullied, the other kids constantly made fun of her and made rude remarks. Her biggest wish was to be like the cool kids. Her parents didnt notice anything, even though her behavior changed significantly. Her bubbling laughter disappeared, and you never saw a smile on her face. Going to school every day was like going to prison. She needed someone to care about her, and tell her that it is okay to be who you are, because you are good enough no matter what.
