This is the story that is now appearing in various newspapers across the country, particularly in the North. It tells of the brutal knife and machete attack on a young, white boy from, of all places, Preston, a really rural area that one would not normally associate with this kind of crime. The local police have arrested seven young, local males and have trotted out the usual platitude.....We do not consider this murder to be race related. Yeah. Whenever I read such an assurance I automatically go into sceptic mode and adopt a wait and see attitude to such statements. I shall await with great interest to learn, eventually, who is responsible for this crime. Watch this space.
