This is the time of year where my wife ceremoniously goes to her favorite crab house, buys 1 dozen crabs, drinks Natty Boh, and watches baseball games. I often feel sorry for these poor crustaceans, who, through no fault of their own, are boiled alive. It represents the eternal gulf between us. Im a Baltimore West Side boy, shes an East Side girl. Shes public school (Eastern High, which no longer exists), state college (Morgan), beer, and baseball. Im private school, Ivy League, chardonnay, and lacrosse. And yet remarkably, after 30 years, it works.
