This is the woman who hosted Dad and Ruths going away party in The Villages in Florida last week. I was crying as I was taking this, so it may look a little shaky. For those of you who dont know, my dad is 98 and Ruth is 94 and their friends are mostly my age ..perhaps a year or two older, a few are younger. Dad & Ruth are both amazing and Im so grateful to have them in good health ! I will so much miss their lovely little house and their wonderful friends in The Villages. Hopefully they will all drive down to the Fort Lauderdale area several times a year to visit. I know Ruth, and she will be on the phone daily to make sure they never lose touch. Hopefully they will make the same kind of enduring friendships that they have made here back in Fort Lauderdale..(they are returning there to be closer to family and because taking care of their condo will be easier than taking care of a private home...their condo is lovely so they are returning to someplace they lived in before and where they were happy...they still have several friends there as well..So at least theyre not going to a strange place.)This was a wonderful party! I will never forget all the love shown to them by all these great people. The woman speaking is the hostess of the party and she did an amazing job. It was like dining at a catered affair! My favorite part was her presentation of desserts in shot glasses and the delicious liquor (mr favorite!) Cuarenta y Tres with a cream top off ...yum!!!
