This is to cover the subject of islam, particularly for my friend Molly Dolan who believes that only a few muslims are extremists. The first question is why do they kill so many people in the middle east (as well as many times in the U.S.A), Yet we want to blame the timid Christian for all their historical atrocities, as a means of defending present day islams murderous activities. At least the Christians have outgrown their behavior. When was the last time someone was burned at the stake in a town near you? But if you want to know about a religion, the only way to know it is to read their book. I own a quran and bible and study them both daily. So here are some quotes from the quran, and you decide for yourself if this how they act at its birth place in the middle east: Quran (9:5) - So when the sacred months (Ramadan) have passed, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them. Quran (8:39) - And fight with them until there is no more fitna (disorder, unbelief) and religion should be only for Allah Quran (8:12) - I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them . If you would like more quotes from the quran, please ask. I have many, many more.
