Who can apply: Individuals with an undergraduate degree or B-tech in any non-IT discipline (including Humanities, Commerce, Sciences etc) and IT graduates who have been unemployed for more than 6 months or are not working in the field of their studies. What: The programme fast-tracks successful applicants into a one- year training and internship programme in preparation for a career as a business and systems analyst Where: Training takes place at UCT and internships will be at insurance, retail and IT Services companies in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. When: Application is open until 20 November 2013 and the programme starts the last week of January 2014. CRITERIA: Only apply if you meet the below non-negotiable criteria. If you do not meet these criteria, your application will automatically be rejected: (1) Must be a South African citizen (2) Must be aged between 22 and 35 years at the programme start date (3) Should either be unemployed or not employed in their preferred career (4) Must have completed ANY non-IT graduate degree for which they attained at least 60% grade point average (GPA) OR have consistently achieved 60% for at least the last 2 years of the degree Disabled candidates will be evaluated on a case by case basis.) (5) Must have graduated from their most recent degree in 2012.
