This is to protect others from heart break. My daughter saved her - TopicsExpress

This is to protect others from heart break. My daughter saved her birthday money to be able to adopt a kitty after her senior kitty passed away. She was very excited to get a kitty from Macon Purrs and Paws on 9/21/14 with her dad. This kitten was told to be OVER four months old because it was fixed. Deborah exact words to me today on phone when I contacted them to see which vet did shots( I now know they do there own) because I wished to see the same vet and my vet does not have after hours it seems. I know previously my daughters dad and I vet did have clinic hours for emergency by voice mail yet today it just rang but none the less... This kitten paper work shows two different ages and a third form shows they dont fix animals until 4-6 months yet this baby was done at either 7 or 12 weeks depending on form you review. You can also see in yellow block where Macon Purrs and Paws clearly list All age appropriate shots gave prior to adoption and not a date listed for next shot leading adopter to believe she had all age appropriate shots. She never had Feline leukemia shot which is to be done at age 9 weeks and second one 3 weeks late (12 weeks) which by either date she was clearly passed by all forms yet stated she had ALL age appropriate shots. This baby kitty had a stroke and died today.Feline Leukemia positive tested also.. Thanks to this mixed message gave of ALL AGE appropriate SHOTS I told vet she had all the shots she needed and I may could of saved her life. I immediately called Deborah and told her of the result as kitty was at rescue less then 8 weeks ago and was only cat in home, never let outside and been in no contact with anything another cat had meaning the chances are extremely high that the illness was at the rescue only to be blown off as it no big deal. Debra reply Only way kitten could make others sick is to bite them and it no big deal which is no where near correct. Please take extreme caution if you have recently adopted and take all cats you own for testing. This illness is bad and killed a kitten from start to end in four hours. I already have a daughter who hysterical over kitty and dont want anyone else hurt by this. The fact a RESCUE has no clue how this virus is spread floors me. In comments Ill send link so you can see for yourself how this is spread.. In photos you will see where the rescue cant decide on daughters cats age...both forms dated same day but one says age 7 weeks other 12... Forms to show a adoption cat needs NO vaccines and claims to have all age appropriate shots... The feline leukemia product and dosing showing by Sept 21 adoption kitty should of already had shot.
