This is to publicly express my gratitude to Indur K Chhugani who, after seeing my post yesterday went personally to the Bombay High Court today, did what it takes (and it takes a lot) to ensure that the wrongs were set right, including getting the bench for the Mumbai Airport case changed. He was then informed that the case papers were missing. Indurji got the concerned department of the Bombay High Court to search out the papers and were now hopeful that the hearing of the Mumbai Airport Case will be held on 11.12.2014. While on one hand we have, barring a few notyable exceptions such as Sanjivan S Lal, Rakesh Himmatrao Chavan, Veeresh Malik, Aryasree Roychowdhury, Bansuri Bharadwaj, etc. (others who might have written the letters but I am not aware of) almost no one seemed ready to do their small bit in public interest. It is people like these, especially Indurji who ensure that my will to fight on gets stronger - that I have on my side people to whom public interest matters enough for them to take action - and not just indulge in armchair discussions in their living rooms - which is what, unfortunately, activism and being socially and politically aware seems to have been reduced to nowadays. Sad but true. And to those mentioned above, it is because of people like you that I shall fight on.
