This is useful for teachers (and, I suspect, some parents). The is no maths in it. But it has something more important than maths. Those of you who have attended some of my presentations may recall I often say more than once, who cares about this (the maths problem that we just spent ten to fifteen minutes on). Mathematics or any other school subjects are vehicle(s) for the development and improvement of ones intellectual competence (MOE 2006) which has an affective component too (eg one is not truly intelligent if one is unable to emphasise).
