This is very encouraging. Great news. But, at the risk of sounding like a bitter fart, the key to us making a success of this industry and becoming meaningful contributors to the world of film still lies in producing quality work based on brilliant, well developed scripts that tell gripping stories and explore interesting ideas. Nollywood for instance produces many more films than our industry but often the focus on small budgets/quick turn-over and subsequent low production value is not necessarily conducive to creating great film - just more. Of course there have been and will be exceptions to this sweeping generalization but I do think its worth remembering that quantity in no way equates to quality. So yes please, lower the threshold for the rebate, I just hope we can keep our focus on improving the quality of the work and not the frequency of it.
