This is very much untrue. SS money is there. We, along with our employers, have put in to it since we began working. But the Republicans began borrowing against the fund and are holding the funds hostage to cover their mostly defense spending debts. Welfare recipients are not non workers...many do work, many have been laid off because their employers moved the jobs to China and other Asian and South American countries. With fewer Americans working and making money to buy the goods these businesses are manufacturing overseas, there are fewer able to buy the goods and the business investors are not making as much money. They dont get it: they dont make money because they fired everyone who buys their products. So they blame those on welfare for their lack of profit. These investors like to punish those they fired by witholding welfare money which in fact would allow the purchase of the products they cant sell now but would give them income if the welfare coffers did have the money. Plus, individual welfare is minor fraction of the money the government gives investors and business as subsidies
