This is way, way overdue. My own state has been grossly negligent in overseeing the operations of its nursing homes. Our nursing facilities are so bad that they make international news. Way to go Oklahoma. You embarrass me. Where are your family values? Small government models dont have the capacity to oversee health care providers. Maybe some think thats a good thing--less government intrusion. But when your mother or father, your child, or maybe even you yourself are in an understaffed and neglected nursing facility, you might have a different opinion. By then it may be too late. So think hard about it. And if youre lucky, maybe someone who cares will come when you need someone to listen.
