This is what Arup Anand, an alumnus of BCE and now working with - TopicsExpress

This is what Arup Anand, an alumnus of BCE and now working with ICICI in Mumbai, wrote to me long time back and this has not been luckily erased from my mail-box over the period of time. I am sure the readers may find this ennobling and inspiring and the garatitude he has expressed to his Alma mater is something I laud: As I reflect on my days spent at BCE (1998-2002), I feel proud of being a part of an Institute of this stature. The infrastructure notwithstanding, the Institute has immensely contributed in shaping my career. There was a lot to learn, both within and outside the class. It made a mechanical engineer out of me. It also helped me develop a sense of self-dependency and made me sensitive to various socio-economic issues of life. I must confess that I had an option of studying in some run-of-the-mill engineering colleges outside the state but I consciously chose to be in BCE. I have no regrets for my choice. To quote Robert frost: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-- I took the one less travelled by, And that has made all the difference
