This is what Dutch media doesnt show us on the news. This video is taken by bystanders during a peaceful demonstration against Black Pete in the city of Gouda, in the Netherlands. The protesters remained peaceful through-out. While some neo-nazis came to confront them and acted violently, they started to shove and take away the demonstration boards/signs. Police decided to act and this is what they did: Here we see a non-violent protester being separated, shoved and pushed to the ground by several police who also punch him with their fist when he is obviously down. They sit in him with all their weight. He keeps screaming out I cant breathe, I cant breathe!. Yet police do not listen to him. His shirt is pulled over his head (why??), he is taken away, forced to walk backwards. Like hes some kind of terrorist. I am deeply disgusted by this police brutality. Looking at this young man - posing no threat whatsoever - and being handled in such way, makes me immensely angry. It is hereby obvious that our beloved Netherlands is not free from police brutality against peaceful demonstrators. Black Pete is still racist and we should not give up on our goal to remove the racist elements from a party that should be fun for all.
