This is what Facebook presents on my iPhone at the moment: • A non-deletable notification for a friends birthday several days ago. • A second non-deletable notification for the same friends birthday several days ago. • A third non-deletable notification for the same friends birthday several days ago. • Two non-deletable Your Year in Review notifications. • One Your Year in Review notification that actually does offer a means of deletion... then crashes the app when you try to delete it. The silver lining is that, for a change, Im not seeing three or more non-delectable, mostly but not quite identical People You May Know strips also. Im sure its all a bunch of thoroughly, randomly coincidental events that just happen to keep choosing me out of a perfectly understandable cosmic desire for entertainment, and absolutely not the fault, in any way, of Facebook, where I may someday apply for work. Therefore, naturally, the lack of response when Ive queried Facebook about the completely amusing and not-at-all annoying circumstances detailed above makes perfect sense, since I cannot expect them to provide information on fixing problems that, in the interest of possible future job applications I might submit, they could not possibly have caused. So far, no one has told me that their Facebook iPhone app does the same thing, so Im wondering whether the universe has chosen any of you to betide in this fashion or Im unique in having received this particular blessing. Any takers?
