This is what I get from this lecture. There is a saying by Muhammed the Prophet that says, The more a person remains single the smaller their world is. Most people interpret that as a statement addressing single peoples need to get married. Now while that is true that is the simplest way to look at it the more beneficial and meaningful definition is when we see that statement as referring to someone that has a narrow focus on their own individual condition or situation while neglecting their duty to community building. There is a saying that states, The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. For Muslims young or old especially in our community that have benefited from this community no matter if it is directly or indirectly to at any point take on the idea that there is a point where they have to leave the community to focus on themselves or their family and expect to have the same results as those that are working to secure their family and themselves inside the destiny of this community, they are in for a rude awakening; especially in the realm of business. The Quran says that Allahs Hand(Authority, Control) is over the collective. That saying is a focus and reminder that to the conscious believer that there is no success or peaceful conclusion for the individual unless they exist within the guided collective. The believer is always a worker with their focus on how they can build and increase the life of the wombs that bore them. We can fool ourselves by following the our society and thinking we can live our life outside of the bigger picture and get rewarded for that. You will never find peace trying to exist outside of your destiny as part. Dont confuse your local Masajid as the whole community, that is a structure existing with it; so if you have leave your Masjid you should find another one or of you have to create on or a center and keep working for the bigger goal. Too many leave their Masjid and never go to a place foreign the womb that bore them and expect to have the same results as those that are still connected to that womb or joint experience. They forget we are tested by Allah every day and part if that test is our people in the community. We cannot find no matter ho hard we look where our Prophet demonstrated that type of thinking. When decide to leave because we are experiencing difficulties financially or socially but mainly financially and we put all our energies into our own individual situation and not see it within the context of the group we start to think strange, we start to look strange and we start to produce strange and we wont even see it. We will think we are natural and perceived the same as those that are consistent in the work because we may receive a similar greetings when we show up for Islamic rituals such as Ramadhan or the two Eids or maybe a function the Masjid funds, but only those that are consistent in the work will see that you have lost the focus. Your language will be antiquated or even foreign to the group. We have to as the Imam said work to dignify the group picture, and our future doesnt just mean our children but also the pioneers and present workers. The longer you stay out of the work the stranger you will become even when you have a physical picture of success. We wont see that that picture will what the society demes successful not what this life says it should look like. Remember the Imam said, The work is the life We have to understand that when you start your business it is established to enhance the community picture, to continue the group history of that community picture not our own individual idea of what we think it should be. The womb birthed our picture from the picture Allah gave it so we have to so we have an obligation to keep that original form or picture. Dont fool your selves or try to convince yourself that you cant work within the community because you dont think anyone will be able to sympathize with your condition. If you were birthed from this community and you have studied Imam Mohammeds leadership you will see he never left the group picture and never left his mission with us as a group, yes even when he said he left the group name MAS, ASM, etc. The Hon Elijah Muhammad never left his post even Professor Farad never left, he physically left but he kept in touch with the community through Sis. Clara and his messenger Elijah. You have to have courage and admit to yourself it is lonely by yourself and you are not surrounded by the right people that you trust to help advance this struggle. We need our schools, housing, infrastructures built and preserved by us, that is the only way we will be at peace. Allah says if you leave a natural situation or connection that HE established for you he will give you a Devil in place of that original connection. So if you see yourself going off and you know when you have veered off by the results you receive from your works, then just ask Allah for forgiveness and get back on the right road and continue the work. I personally have a dua I ask Allah whenever I can remember during my prayer and that is for me not be be financially successful in my business unless I am consciously working to build NEW AFRICA community life. And for me that includes being under the leadership logic and direction of Imam W.D. Mohammed and continuing the work started by his father and mother the Hon. Elijah & Sis. Clara Muhammad; that was to help dignify our (African American) people by creating a model civilization for those who were held back from getting the freedom to establish it for themselves.
