This is what I said in the beginning of their judgement: The conflict in Zamboanga City entered its 18th day today. The siege has already left dead 125 MNLF fighters, 15 soldiers, 5 policemen and 13 civilians, according to Armed Forces of the Philippines public affairs office chief Lt. Col. Ramon Zagala. At least 172 MNLF fighters, including the 36 who surrendered yesterday, are now in government custody. Other things are: 1. Frozen Business Transaction (Agar-agar and sardine production, were frozen) 2. Lost live (rebels, innocent hostage and military - shared the casualty) 3. Burned Houses 4. Trauma 5. Rehabilitation cost (acquisition of new lands for resettlement of affected families) The question now is: ARE WE WINNING THIS WAR? as a community?
