This is what rescues do: Work the dark aisles, comforting the frightened, the sick, the forlorn, the abandoned. Working to give them a better opportunity to look good under the bright glare of the auction lights - attracting a private buyer instead of the kill buyer. I, myself, cannot go to auction.
