(from Greg Campbell, TPNN) Now, in a telling demonstration of the outrageous polarization of this country after the Zimmerman acquittal, the family Zimmerman helped save wants nothing to do with the recently-acquitted good Samaritan for fear of being linked to the man so reviled by the left. Since the verdict, mass protests have occurred demanding action by the federal government in trying Zimmerman on federal civil rights charges. Violence has occurred at anti-Zimmerman rallies where buildings have been vandalized, burned or otherwise damaged and innocent people have been assaulted in the name of Trayvon Martin. On January 17th, Zimmerman was one of two men who had helped a family get out of their overturned SUV that had left the road in Sanford, Florida. After making contact with the sheriff deputies, Zimmerman left the scene. “Mark and Dana Michelle Gerstle told friends and neighbors that though they’re thankful Mr. Zimmerman helped them, they do not want to talk publicly about him for fear they will be accused of portraying him as a hero,” The Daily Mail reported. “They are very grateful to Zimmerman for what he did, but they do not want to get involved,” an anonymous friend of that family stated. “There is so much hatred directed towards him they have got to think about their own family. There are a lot of crazies out there. If they say anything in support of him it could backfire.” Yes, Heaven forbid that someone should offer a counter to the race-hustlers’ narrative
