This is what took the Irish from former slaves treated as second-class citizens to power brokers in America- people like this Gibbs-smacking the Irish upside the head to stop blaming everyone else and fix themselves. Now, Irish-Americans are a MAJOR powerblock with numerous presidents- including the two best presidents in modern history (in my opinion), Reagan and Kennedy- as well as leaders in business, religion, social causes and the military. Only by listening to men like this will the problems plaguing the black community be whittled away, and Gods and Ancestors I pray this mans wisdom plows through the thug-culture garbage that has been peddled to the youth today and sinks into their minds so that they can better themselves. Having gone from a homeless disabled veteran to a well-educated author and defense contractor with a six figure salary- without any government handouts or favoritism along the way- I can promise you that you will know no greater pride and sense of accomplishment like raising yourself up on your own recognizance and taking responsibility for yourself.
