This is why Alexander Kash and I are so well suited. And believe me, I am scared, too. This was part of our conversation tonight, after we started talking about the Third Ear Band, which did the music, I thought at first, for a Roman Polanski film called The Devils, which was very dark. But then it wasnt that. It was Roman Polanskis Macbeth. And then Stanley Kubrick did it? Maybe? Al: Yeah, the Devils had a lot of witches. The music was great. Me: I got you that CD of the soundtrack a long time ago. Al: It was all about Macbeth. Me: Really? That would make sense. Al: No, that wasnt Macbeth. It was about Maxwell. Someone Maxwell. It was on that Beatles album. Me: Maxwells Silver Hammer was on the Abbey Road album. Al: No. It was on the psychedelic album. Look up Sir Peter Maxwell Davies. Google, google, google. Me: Nope. No connection between Sir Peter Maxwell Davies and either Beatles album. Al: No. There is. Look it up. Me: Are you sure you dont mean Peter Max? He did a lot of the Beatles album covers, like Yellow Submarine. But Im pretty sure that Sir Peter Maxwell Davies has nothing to do with Maxwells Silver Hammer, which is on the Abbey Road album and is about a guy who goes around hitting people in the head with a hammer. Al: Look it up. Me: What am I looking up now? Al: The Third Ear Band did the music for Roman Polanskis Macbeth. Thats what I said. Me: Okay.....so no Devils. Me: So, what was the connection between The Devils film, the Beatles, and the Third Ear band? Al: There wasnt one. Me: Okay.
