This is why I *ALWAYS* let my dogs know if I am going somewhere, and approximately how long I will be gone: Ill be right, right, RIGHT back. = Im going to walk outside to do something like check the mail... Ill be right back. = Im going to the store nearby and coming right home... Ill be back in just a bit. = Im going to WalMart, shopping, or a short Dr. Appointment & have a ride there & back... Ill be back in awhile. = Im going somewhere, and at the mercy of the City Bus schedules & transfers, or going to spend some time with friends at their house... That way, my dogs have a pretty good idea of how long I will be gone. Hasnt failed me yet. :-)
