This is why I always advise NEVER to put a collar on a cat.................At the vets this morning Sema brought this once beautiful cat in, the poor cat had got its front leg caught inside its collar. It must have happened some time ago as the cat stank of rotting flesh. Once anaesthetised the full horrific extent of the damage this collar has caused was awful, so awful that I wont put the photo on here because of the distress it will cause to some members. Goksel has had to cut away a large area of the rotting flesh under her the whole of her arm, practically down to the bone to reveal healthy tissue so she can begin to heal. This cat will be in the animal hospital for weeks recovering from this painful and potentially fatal injury. So please dont collar your cats!
