This is why I have trouble respecting cops. Between stories like this and the Tulsa cops I begin to lose faith. We leave our child in a hot car for five minutes DHS gets involved and we get some ridiculous charge and the system gets our kid. But when we do the right thing we get no acknowledgement either....I pray that the initial officier that answered her call not only gets investigated but loses his job as well. He just blatantly didnt care. I will NEVER call the cops over something like this. I would rather break in my own car and deal with the insurance or being without a car. I will NOT let the authorities take my child(ren) and claim abuse. Mistakes happen as well as abuuse. But nowadays people cannot tell the difference.
