This is why I workout. Strength. Discipline. This man is 91 - TopicsExpress

This is why I workout. Strength. Discipline. This man is 91 years old and is dead lifting over 200 lbs. That is incredible. I want to be strong and fit as I get older. Getting older is NOT an EXCUSE to stop working out. Getting older should be an EXCUSE TO workout. Strength training increases your bone density and keeps them strong....so as you age you do not fracture a bone easily if you fall. It also keeps your hormones working in harmony. Hormonal shifts actually age us, but if we keep them balanced with proper nutrition, sleep, and exercise we can stay younger and much healthier. I have 6 autoimmune diseases and train harder now than when I was in my teens and 20s. I make NO EXCUSE to not train hard. I know people who have no arms but still weight train core and legs. I know people in wheelchairs who train upper body. Its all in how you look all life. You may have a disability, but it does not have to be your identity and you certainly do not have to allow it to run your life. Be strong. Make no excuses. You only live once and you have an obligation to take care of the body God has given to you. Truly it is not your property, it belongs to your creator. You only live once, be the best you can be. Dont compare yourself to others and what they have. Be the BEST YOU, that YOU can be. God bless you all. Have a super wonderful day.
