This is why Im disappointed with most of the current gen (or whatever) AAA games. A company puts out A) A bad game with stunning or breath-taking graphics B) a reboot of an old good game and turn it into a next gen pile of dung with the same playstyle as everything else in the gen (Morrowind ruled, then they added a level limit, a few quite dull questlines, fancier graphics, lesser difficulty, and to top it all of less freedom and creativity (Skyrim)) C) The same thing as last year (Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, etc...) or D) a game whose only feature the company can sell is the name (ie. most anything from nintendo. Mario Kart 8? srsy?) then they hype it up and expect people to buy it. (DESTINY) Worst part is that the scheme works. Players still buy the games and end up disappointed. (DESTINY) Then the company gets their monies, rub it over their bums until theyre bored and put out the next big thing. booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I tihnk people need to step away from AAA titles for a while so the devs and check their heads, but that likely isnt going to happen. If you need me, Ill be playing good games made by devs that dont care about money or amazing graphics, but rather care about great games and gameplay and about what their fanbase thinks. (FTL: Faster Than Light, Minecraft. These are two games that I have not and will not ever get bored of. Ive played minecraft since alpha. That would be something like 5 years. I cant say I played Skyrim or any other AAA title that long.) Another plus is that instead of throwing your dough at a huge company that has plenty and likely doesnt care what you get, you can support an indie dev to keep on living and inspire him/her/them to make more great games.
