This is why african americans dont vote for republicans. Its because of things like this. The republican party is the party of racists and the KKK. No Im not saying that all republicans are racists (that isnt true). As a state legislator Steve Scalise was one of a few congressmen who voted against celebrating Martin Luther King Jrs birthday (he did that twice) and has been a speaker at white supremacist groups. Of course now he is claiming he didnt know who he was speaking to and is trying to distance himself from David Duke who he once praised and said he agreed with on many conservative issues. This guy is now the House Majority Whip in the U.S. House of representatives. The video of him speaking before a white supremacist group is about to be released to the media.
