This is why so many people have little faith in true justice. - TopicsExpress

This is why so many people have little faith in true justice. Americans, in general, seem to want to convict someone without a thorough, unbiased investigation, and actually believe vigilante justice is justified. Then when these vigilantes are proven dead-wrong, indeed, even complicit in withholding, concealing, destroying or even planting false evidence, they are not prosecuted or brought to justice themselves, but, ridiculously, are rewarded by being promoted or given undeserved honors. This seems to be a major theme in this capitalist society: do anything to get ahead and never mind who gets stepped on, as long as I get what I want, thats okay. There are always winners and losers in capitalism. This seems to extend to our justice system which seems to be no less corrupted by the lure of money and power.
